In the beginning there was… Tomek
Although we’ve been in business since 2011, our history dates back even further. How, you ask? Because there would be no us if it were not for Tomek – the founder of WĘC PR. He took his first steps in the industry when he was just 16.
Tomasz Węc has 18 years of experience in the industry and has been running his own agency for 10 years now. He started out as a freelancer, scoring various individual jobs later, trying his hand on at organizing events and working for different PR agencies. During that time he successfully delivered several hundred projects, had a few failures along the way, and all this led him to the fulfillment of an important life goal – starting his own business. And this is how WĘC PR was established in September 2011.
To think that everything would be completely different if Tomek had channeled his energy into the pursuit of another dream of his – to start a career in… tearing down buildings!
The portfolio of the services offered by WĘC PR has evolved over the years. This is not only the effect of the nature of the IT/tech industry we’re involved with for the most part. Instead of striving to get as many clients as possible, we decided to provide the companies we work for with as extensive range of communication-related services as possible. At first, we were into traditional PR, but when new opportunities and challenges appeared, it motivated us to develop and master new talents, skills, and abilities. We extended the portfolio of our services by including social media management in 2013 and the organization of events in 2014. We organized 59 events, including blogger meetings, company retreats, press briefings, conferences, and esports events in particular, over a span of 36 months. In 2017 we started offering video services, and the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 saw us turning clearly into a 360 agency.
We keep setting the bar higher and higher for ourselves. This regards the services we provide but also our aspirations regarding working with our clients. We started out locally. Now we work with brands known across the entire world.
A team with expertise acknowledged by not only clients and corporations but also journalists and the media? That’s us alright!
How do we do it? The secret ingredient is diversity! Our team is composed of players with a myriad of interests and loads of experience. Each one of us is different, but we enjoy spending time together – both at work and outside the office. This is how we have managed to become a strong, tight team, ready to act with your best interest in mind.
